In the same week that saw the death of James Brady,  the former Reagan press secretary wounded in an assassination attempt who became the country's fiercest advocate for gun control, come two new egregious, ever-more-WTF efforts by gun slingers to expand "our rights" by arming everyone in sight - and even those not in sight - in a dangerous world where only guns will make us safe. Thus, we have "My Parents Open Carry," a "wholesome family book" by two open-carry advocates teaching  children that "self-defense is a basic natural right and that firearms provide the most efficient means for that defense," and a new NRA video by a former Navy SEAL and "combative expert" arguing that blind people should be armed like in Iowa because of their increased spatial awareness and besides they'll only shoot bad guys and "you (don't) need to see where you're shooting if someone's on top of you trying to kill or rape you" and if you disagree then "you don’t take your rights seriously enough.” Remarkably, the NRA just keeps getting loonier. They're right. Thanks to their paranoia, it's a dangerous world - they're in it.
