Martinez, Rodger and All the Rest: We Are You and You Are Us

Powerful photos just released of the meeting of two grieving fathers - Richard Martinez, whose son Christopher, 20, was murdered in Isla Vista, and Peter Rodger, whose son Elliot, 22, killed him. They are not alone: Martinez came went to D.C. Tuesday to deliver 2.4 million #NotOneMore postcards to elected officials, and to speak at the National Press Club. He was surrounded by the families of other shooting victims at Newtown, Tucson, Aurora and Virginia Tech. Which is to say, too many.

"We say not one more parent should ever have to bury their child," said Roxanna Green, whose 9-year-old daughter Christina was killed in Tucson in 2011. "Not one more parent should ever have to wonder who their child would grow up to be."

Update: Today's gun atrocity: A 33-year-old teacher, musician and new dad in Florida welcoming home his three-day-old infant was shot dead by a stray bullet from the idiot who lived next door.
