Giving Shelter

Citing U.N. estimates of 45 million people around the world displaced by natural disaster or war, the Austin start-up Reaction Housing has created the Exo housing unit, a cheap, portable, stackable, reusable "rapid response shelter." Inspired by an upside-down coffee cup in the wake of Katrina and launched at the recent 2014 SXSW conference, Reaction is raising money through an Indiegogo campaign in hopes of sending the first prototypes to Syrian refugee families.
