Overnight this weekend, unknown workers wrapped the now-ghostly buildings with huge faux police tape reading, "Gentrification In Progress." It was reportedly done by street artists GILF and BAMN (By Any Means Necessary), who have long fought the development that invariably drives prices up and former residents out. We don't survive on clicks. We don't want advertising dollars. We want the world to be a better place. But we can't do it alone. It doesn't work that way. We need you. If you can help today—because every gift of every size matters—please do.
