This Happened: Detroit Cop Responding to Domestic Violence Call Charged With Raping Victim
Detroit police officer Deon Nunlee was charged on three counts of criminal sexual conduct, one count of assault with intent to penetrate, and one count of misconduct while on duty after he allegedly raped a woman who called 911 saying her boyfriend had assaulted her. At the home, Nunlee took the woman upstairs while his partner stayed with the boyfriend. He was arrested when a positive DNA test came back. The third Detroit cop this month to be charged with misconduct, Nunlee definitely wins the grossly dubious prize. Detroit Police Chief James Craig. “I’m troubled. Massive Mandate: Japan Very Loudly Says No to Nuclear
On the eve of the anniversary of the Fukushima disaster and amidst widespread protests against (clearly insane) government attempts to reopen nuclear plants, a new survey shows almost all Japanese fear and oppose nuclear power: An astounding 95% are worried about the current decontamination process and ongoing leaks; 87% are scared of another disaster; 80% want to scrap some or all existing reactors. Japan's Prime Minister has said he wants to restart reactors "confirmed safe...while winning local people's understanding."
