Snowden's Alma Mater Booz Allen Is Looking For An Insider Threat Analyst To Make Sure There Are No More Pesky Snowdens

Abby Zimet

Booz Allen Hamilton, Snowden's former employer, has posted a new “Insider Threat Analyst” job for someone with a background in “counterintelligence, information assurance, security, network engineering, or data science” to "develop and implement insider threat program solutions" - aka catch future Snowdens. Bizarrely, background checks for applicants would be done by US Investigation Services, the country's largest contractor for government security clearances, the same company that supposedly checked both Snowden and the shooter at the Washington Navy Yard, and that's currently under investigation for fraudulently claiming to have done over 650,000 security checks it didn't do, leaving us to wonder what they spent that time on, and how much it cost us, and how many they actually did do, and why bother, given it's clear the NSA and other surveillance programs don't do anything useful anyway other than prove what we need security from is primarily them.
