Trent Franks and A Bunch of Guys: Where the Light of Compassion Has Gone Out

Throwing fact, law and reason to the wind, Arizona's anti-choice zealot Rep. Trent Franks brought to an all-male House Judiciary Subcommittee his brilliant new idea for a nationwide ban on already-rare late-term abortions - an idea that already died a swift death in D.C. and was just declared unconstitutional in Arizona - by arguing that his fight to stop "55 million little American babies dying in the last 40 years" and save "the lives of little innocent children when they're crying" is just like the abolition of slavery and the ending of the Holocaust. The odds for passage of his "Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act" are, hopefully, slim
