Frackalypse Now: A Very Timely Battle

With Illinois poised to approve fracking - and regulations they swear will protect them - Gasland II, the second part of Josh Fox' acclaimed anti-fracking documentary, kicked off a 23-stop nationwide tour of the film with a free showing in Normal sponsored by Illinois People’s Action. The film  tells stories of fracking victims and explores the financial clout of Big Oil - best if perversely exemplified by industry use of psychological warfare, or psyops, to "manufacture consent," as Chomsky once famously put it. In honor of their tactics, cartoonist Mark Fiore has created a new video. With apologies to Francis Ford Coppola.
