Denmark's New Normal: Exploitation 101
Seeking to "restore trust" and "set new standards" in financial giants, Denmark's troubled largest bank has launched an ad campaign splashed with images of wind turbines, women's rights and Occupy protests - though the bank has cut thousands of jobs, closed small branches, refused help to small businesses, has an all-male board, and is famously un-green. From one furious commenter: "Hey bankers, do you think we've forgotten you are the über-bad guys? " Meanwhile, here at home, the billionaires of Fix the Debt likewise count on our stupidity. Let them eat arrogance. "You could start with an advertisement with the slogan "Forgive us," followed by a marked drop in pay for those people whose greedy decisions and frayed morality is an essential part of the problem."
