Pakistani surgeons have successfully removed a bullet from the head of Malala Yousafzai, the 14-year-old BBC blogger, activist and National Peace Award winner shot by a Taliban gunman for "promoting western culture" and speaking out for girls' education. The shooting has sparked protests, prayers and anger across Pakistan.
