To remind us of the life and death battle so many face each day, an extraordinary photo of Aileen Crimmings O'Brien Graef, who died today at 46 of breast cancer. Shortly before she died, her brother brought her dog Jethro from her home to the hospice to say goodbye. At least 1 in 8 American  women will get breast cancer in their lifetime. From Boing Boing.
