Proving the left maintains its hold on the hilarity market, some creative responses to Arizona's ongoing right-wingnuttery. After birthers demanded Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett verify again and once and for all if Obama was born in Hawaii or Kenya or Red Square or what, a petition began asking Bennett to likewise investigate whether Mitt Romney is a unicorn - a possibility Romney has never denied, and one that of course would prevent him from being president. It now has over 17,000 names.

And after GOP Rep. Trent Franks (still Arizona!) introduced a bill to ban abortions in D.C. after 20 weeks of gestation and refused to allow Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D) to speak at the hearing, protesters showed up Franks' office asking D.C.'s new "pretend mayor" to address other local issues like bike lanes, parking tickets, cockroaches and broken Metro escalators.

"There are cockroaches everywhere. I know Mayor Franks is very, very concerned about what's happening in D.C. He wants to fix things."
