In the wake of the massacre in Afghanistan, there has been ceaseless media coverage of the shooter, and almost none of the victims. Al-Jazeera 's Qais Azimy rescues them from anonymity, giving them, at least, their names. David Hawk (above), a "pro-life" activist who tried to get a bill passed allowing guns in bars, was just arrested for domestic assault; last year, his gun bill co-sponsor was arrested for a DUI, with a gun. Two Dudes Try To Kiss Away the Hateful and Stupid at Santorum Rally. They Fail But Have Fun Anyway.
A video of two young guys defiantly kissing at a rally for Rick Santorum at Illinois' Christian Liberty (sic) Academy has gone viral for the brave spectacle of it. Far more shocking to some of us is the vicious crowd mindlessly booing and jeering the basic concept of government helping its own. What to do with and about these people? This video hurts my stomach.
