With courts striking down Texas and Wisconsin voter I.D. laws - ie: GOP efforts to make it harder for minority, poor and other commie types to vote - officials in those states are trying Hail Mary moves to get around the rulings. Texas is arguing the Voting Rights Act is unconstitutional. Wisconsin wants to stop offering voter registration in high schools so kids can forget about all that voting nonsense and go watch video games. Rep. Fred Kessler calls them out. And a nervous but determined Marine takes part in his first protest - against Tennessee's voter I.D. laws.

The Guardian got a cache of private emails, apparently from Syria opposition activists, showing that while Bashar al-Assad's government was slaughtering civilians and blowing up hospitals, he and his wife Asma were busy buying stuff online. She: hundreds of thousands in custom furniture, necklaces, chandeliers, art. He: iTunes and Harry Potter. He was also joking about "reforms," looking at armored clothing, and sending her song lyrics from Blake Shelton. "I've been a walking heartache / I've made a mess of me / The person that I've been lately / Ain't who I wanna be."
