With Israel increasingly seeing ultra-Orthodox Jewish acts of extremism - including the infamous spitting on an 8-year-old girl by one fanatic - a flash-mob of women took to the streets of Beit Shemesh, which has been the focus of much of the outrage, to have their say. More on the segregation of women on busses and streets, the growing protests against those medieval practices, and the way they mirror discrimination against Palestinians.
