Cain's American Dream: Mine Mine Mine

Abby Zimet

Herman Cain is an idiot, but just smart enough to be making a fortune from his sort of presidential campaign. He's still getting paid $25,000 a pop - "I have not raised my prices...I’m not gonna take advantage of my newfound popularity just to put more dollars in my pocket” - to give motivational speeches to corporations, which sure sounds seriously unpresidential to the rest of us. And he's pitching his book, and reportedly funding the effort with campaign contributions, all over the universe. But no, no intersection of money and politics here.

“My American dream was, when I grow up, I want to make me some money!” - Cain at a recent campaign stop.
