Execution Delayed

Judge Penny Freeseman

Update: Moments before he was due to die, Troy Davis' execution was temporarily delayed as the Supreme Court weighed arguments in his case. At 7:05 p.m., five minutes after his scheduled death, Davis' supporters erupted in cheers and tears outside the jail in Jackson, Ga.

The state of Georgia is prepared to take the life of an innocent man at 7 p.m. ET today in what can only be described as state-sponsored murder. Judge Penny Freeseman could issue a stay of execution. Call her at 912-652-7252 or email her at pfreesemann@chathamcounty.org
