Judge Blocks Texas Sonogram Law As the "Ideological Agenda" It Is

Amazingly, some good news: U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks blocked key provisions of Texas' new law requiring a doctor to perform a sonogram before an abortion, ruling the measure violates the free speech rights of both doctors and patients. Sparks went so far as to blast the hypocrisy of politicians who "zealously defend the state’s righteous duty to become intimately involved in a woman’s decision to get an abortion" while forbidding women adequate health care.
