Tuesday's earthquake elicited an intriguing mix of reactions - freaked out to ho hum - from the animals at the Smithsonian's National Zoo, often minutes before it hit. Apes shrieked, "belch vocalized," collected their kids and climbed to the top of their fake trees. Other creatures hid, huddled, sounded alarms or  took to the water. Pandas didn't seem to notice; maybe bamboo makes you chill?
