Out Of The Ashes Dept: Two guys in the riot-ravaged U.K. have launched a "post-riot urban intervention" that hooks up volunteer designers, architects and workers with business owners who need their help. The response to the effort, which comes on the heels of a similar clean-up effort and which organizers liken to guerrilla gardening, has been enthusiastic. The first project: helping Aaron Biber, 89, rebuild his uninsured barber shop. Ye who despair of the species: Take heart.
