Water As A Human Right, Even/Especially In Gaza

Abby Zimet

A great initiative in Gaza, where activist artists joined locals to create murals at the much-needed water treatment sites that Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA) has installed at almost 30 schools. Other groups involved in the Maia Mural Brigade project - maia is Arabic for 'water' - include Break The Silence Mural and Arts Project and Olympia-Rafah Solidarity Mural Project. Pictures here and here. These kids need water; it's the least we can do.
