Huckabee's History (With Free Gift and Lots of God and Reagan Thrown In)

Abby Zimet

In case he doesn't get to be president, Mike Huckabee has a new gig: a series of animated history lessons for kids that give an "unbiased" view of "our nation's epic journey" - without "political correctness" and with the proper  focus on "the role of God in America's founding and making our country the greatest place on Earth." Featuring time-travelling kids, Learn Our History videos are big on "The Reagan Revolution," when unemployed muggers in DISCO tanktops run rampant and government is "vast agencies in Washington telling people what to do and taking so much of their hard earned money" and Ronald Reagan is a "man of principle" who, obviously, saves us. Oy. Save us.

Reagan: "Government is not the solution to our problems - government is the problem."

Spectator excited to finally learn the truth: "We just have to get the government out of the way!"

This is the world we live in. This is the world we cover.

Because of people like you, another world is possible. There are many battles to be won, but we will battle them together—all of us. Common Dreams is not your normal news site. We don't survive on clicks. We don't want advertising dollars. We want the world to be a better place. But we can't do it alone. It doesn't work that way. We need you. If you can help today—because every gift of every size matters—please do.
