At G20, Peaceful Protest Wins, Police Brutality Loses

Rare Good News Dept: British high court judges have ruled police acted illegally - as in, beating and corralling peaceful protesters - against G20 demonstrators in 2009. In the case, riot police brutally "kettled" a climate camp as protesters raised their hands in defense and chanted, "This is not a riot."

"There never was a reasonable apprehension of imminent breaches of the peace at the climate camp."
