Trust the American television industry to zero in on the most tragic and frightening side-effect of Japan's disasters: pricey sushi. No, really. Not just one, but two stations - including Fox - investigated the "daunting" shortages that Californians may soon be "suffering." In another telling look at media priorities, new video simultaneously shows Japan's six main TV stations broadcasting as the earthquake hit, and their respective responses.

Update: CNN will send 400 reporters et al to next month's royal wedding in London. They now have 50 on the ground in Japan. Sigh.
