Anger over police abuses and torture in Egypt has fueled the popular uprising, says a report released today by Human Rights Watch. The 95-page report, "‘Work on Him Until He Confesses': Impunity for Torture in Egypt,"
documents how President Mubarak's government has condoned
police abuse and rendered torture endemic.
