Today's somber ceremony at Ground Zero - the bells rung, the names read, the tears - remind us of the true meaning of the day. Not rage, not revenge, not lunatic political posturing. Just loss. And
the need to go on, in its memory and in the name of our better angels, with as much strength and tolerance as
is humanly possible.

"We have
returned to this sacred site to join our hearts together...No other place is as filled with our compassion,
our love and our solidarity." - Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
