Restoring Honor, But Only to White People

Glenn Beck insists his upcoming paranoia fest in D.C. isn't about
politics, which is why Sarah Palin is speaking, and is truly
grass-roots, which is why alot of right-wing groups are funding and organizing it, and doesn't mean he thinks
he's Martin Luther King, which is why it's on the anniversary of the "I
Have A Dream" speech. A Tea Party Mainer (we are ashamed to say) offers
other useful tips
on the event: what immigrants do and don't like you to say, where to
find good food (though he inexplicably includes tapas, Asian and Middle
Eastern), where gay areas are and how to avoid the neighborhoods where
the, ummm, black people live.

"Do not use the Green line
or the Yellow line. These rules are even more important at night. There
is of course nothing wrong with many other areas; but you don't know
where you are, so you should not explore them."

This is the world we live in. This is the world we cover.

Because of people like you, another world is possible. There are many battles to be won, but we will battle them together—all of us. Common Dreams is not your normal news site. We don't survive on clicks. We don't want advertising dollars. We want the world to be a better place. But we can't do it alone. It doesn't work that way. We need you. If you can help today—because every gift of every size matters—please do.
