The Public Option: A Longer Stride Into History

Thanks to a few tenacious souls in Congress, the fight for true health care reform isn't over just yet. Today Rep. Lynn Woolsey of California, co-chair of the progressive caucus, will introduce a bill offering consumers a "robust" public option along with the lousy options offered by profit-hungry private companies. She's got 121 co-sponsors. It isn't single payer, but it's a hopeful start.
