For the Aspiring Jihadist: How to Make A Bomb In the Kitchen of Your Mom

by
Abby Zimet

Aiming to inspire more disaffected Muslim youth in the West to join
their fevered ranks, Al Qaeda has launched "Inspire," its first
English-language online magazine. Cosmo-style features include tips on
"What to Expect in Jihad," "How to Send Encrypted Messages," and "How to
Save the World" by Osama Bin Laden. Alas, their first issue had some
serious tech problems. No doubt a conspiracy.

"Allah
says, 'And inspire the believers to fight.'" - Letter from the editor
of 'Inspire.'

FRIENDS: Help Us Fight

Independent journalism has become the last firewall against government and corporate lies. Yet, with frightening regularity, independent media sources are losing funding, closing down or being blacked out by Google and Facebook. Never before has independent media been more endangered. If you believe in Common Dreams, if you believe in people-powered independent media, please support us now and help us fight—with truths—against the lies that would smother our democracy. Please help keep Common Dreams alive and growing. Thank you. -- Craig Brown, Co-founder
