Ultrasound Jesus

Abby Zimet

An ecumenical group in the U.K has unveiled a new Christmas advertising campaign featuring Jesus in the
womb with a halo that bears a striking resemblance to anti-abortion
imagery even though they say don't be silly it's just a "highly
impactful" way of putting the Christ back in Christmas, albeit in the
womb. A few questions for the good people of Churchads.net:
1. Don't you think you're being either politically disingenuous, or
stupid? 2. Who ever told you "impactful" is a word? 3. Don't you think
friggin' June is a bit early for Christmas ads? and 4. Wouldn't
Ultrasound Jesus be a highly impactful name for a rock band?

Independent journalism has become the last firewall against government and corporate lies. If you believe in Common Dreams, if you believe in people-powered independent media, please support us now and help us fight—with truths—against the lies that would smother our democracy. Please help keep Common Dreams alive and growing. Thank you. -- Craig Brown, Co-founder
