A Match Made Some Place We Don't Want To Go

Facing a wee bit of a PR problem, BP has hired, the slime still fresh on her, Dick
Cheney's former press secretary to make up more facts for the American public. Anne Womack-Kolton, who also did PR for the
Department of Energy under George W., defended the secrecy of the
energy task force under Cheney, who was the head of Halliburton, which

life back, which led BP to start thinking they needed to find someone
else to convince us it will all be okay. Oh, these people will all get
along just fine. More on Womack-Kolton's illustrious if oil-slicked
career here and here.

This is the world we live in. This is the world we cover.

Because of people like you, another world is possible. There are many battles to be won, but we will battle them together—all of us. Common Dreams is not your normal news site. We don't survive on clicks. We don't want advertising dollars. We want the world to be a better place. But we can't do it alone. It doesn't work that way. We need you. If you can help today—because every gift of every size matters—please do.
