Tax the Rich: A Swell Idea

Facing budget shortfalls, Oregon has sensibly voted to raise
taxes on corporations and the wealthy - the first such tax increase
since the 1930s - in order to help pay for public schools and social
services. Over 250 organizations, including unions, churches, immigrant
and other rights groups formed the Yes for Oregon coalition to pass the
two measures.
