On Laid-Back Dogs and Fear-Mongering Honey

This is getting ridiculous. With the fear of possible-though-mathematically-unlikely terror abroad in the land, some security dogs at the Philadelphia airport have been fired for failing to detect explosives, even as a California airport was shut
down when officials did find explosives - which turned out to be honey.
The gardener with the honey was allowed to go home; the dogs are
undergoing "intensive rehab training" but remain on duty as "visual
deterrents." Their effectiveness in that role has yet to be determined.

"These
dogs are not ornamental," said Ed Turzanski, a clearly disapproving terrorism expert.

This is the world we live in. This is the world we cover.
