A People's Network

Copenhagen next month will be hosting not just formal climate talks
but the largest ever gathering of climate activists, from the
"alternative people's summit" called Klimaforum09 to an array of
speakers, marches and actions such as an attempt to shut down
Copenhagen harbor and an effort to declare the conference itself a
"People's Summit for Climate Justice." More here and here.

"We're expecting more than 10,000 people a day," says
Richard Steed of Klimaforum09. "This is about creating a people's
network which will carry on... long
after the conference is finished...We don't want to see business as usual any
more, that isn't going to solve anything. We're looking at radical
solutions."
