How Many Surges Must One Nation Have?

Following General McCrystal's leaked Afghanistan report and media speculation that military planners desire 500,000 troops 'on the ground' over five years, Tom Andrews and Robert Naiman ask, How much more we can tolerate?

Indeed, how much more will we tolerate?  As secret meetings occur
and the groundwork for this so-called surge are set, what must the
progressive community do to dissuade Obama, the US Congress, and the allied
NATO forces to rethink our mission and bring this Afghan debacle to an end?
