Even Warmer and Worse

Even if industrialized countries enact every ambitious climate
change policy they have proposed, researchers now predict the planet
will warm by 6.3 degrees - nearly double
what scientists say is the upper limit of warming the world
can support without catastrophic climate change -
by the end of the century. And if they don't, the increase will top 8 degrees. The findings by the Climate Action
Initiative, based on climate figures from the policies of 200
countries, far outstrip UN climate predictions made just two years ago.

"We don't want to go there." - Robert Corell, who chairs the Climate Action Initiative
