No Celebration of Occupation

A targeted boycott of the Toronto Film Festival's "Spotlight on Tel Aviv" is growing,
with over 1,000 artists, filmmakers and activists signing a declaration
charging the festival's focus "whitewashes Israel's human rights
violations against the
Palestinian people." Those signing the Declaration - including
legendary artists and progressives, and many Jews – say the festival's
touting of Tel Aviv as "a young dynamic city
that, like Toronto, celebrates diversity" omits harsh truths that need
