With about a million camels roaming Australia's remote areas, the government has proposed
funding a program whereby sharpshooters in helicopters will reduce the
camel population by as much as two thirds - with camel burgers as a
possible bonus. Supporters of the slaughter say camels trample
vegetation, frighten settlers and compete with sheep and cattle for

helicopter is actually quite humane, even though that sounds brutal,"
