Dignity Was The First To Leave

The White House has responded,
albeit mildly, to the inflammatory rhetoric and Nazi comparisons at
town hall meetings by saying protesters are "on thin ice" and should
"take that temperature down a bit." Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said
Obama believes "we can have a discussion in our democracy" with
civility, proving the President hasn't attended many town halls lately.

"I know the president believes strongly that we can discuss these
issues without personally maligning the person that we're discussing
this issue with, that we're doing so in a way that respects the dignity
of each individual."
