Breaking News: Fat cats are winning! Executives and other highly paid people who aren't you now get more than one-third of all pay in the U.S. – nearly $2.1 trillion of $6.4 trillion in 2007 – and that's without billions more in stock options and other perks, the Wall Street Journal reports. And yet Democrats are still uneasy about a proposed surtax on rich people to help fund health reform, considering upping its income level from $350,000 to $1 million? C'mon people: a little backbone, please.
