It's hard to decide which is more infuriating: the news that Cheney ordered the CIA to keep an intelligence program secret from Congress, or the mind-numbingly oblivious GOP response to it. A sampling from Sunday talk shows:
"It's not out of the ordinary for the vice-president to be involved in an issue like this....What if it's a top secret program? Let's don't jump to conclusions... The CIA is in the secrecy business..." And from McCain, he doesn't know if there should be "a, quote, investigation."
