With protests and press coverage in Iran largely silenced by the crackdown, the U.K.'s Guardian is trying to identify the hundreds or thousands of journalists, activists and other people killed and detained in the unrest. A day after asking for information, they have received hundreds of tips, names and photographs via readers, Twitter, Facebook and other networks. Working in conjunction with Human Rights Watch, Reporters Sans Frontieres and other rights groups, they will assemble a database on the missing. To help the effort, go here.
