Raid At the Rainbow Lounge

by

On the weekend of the 40th anniversary of Stonewall and Gay Pride events around the world, Texas police and alcohol agents  raided a Forth Worth gay bar, arresting seven people and sending one man to the hospital with a brain injury in an action one witness called "harassment, plain and simple." At a protest following the raid, bar owner J.R. Schrock dismissed as lies police claims that patrons made "sexually explicit movements" toward them.

“The groping of the police officer — really? We’re gay, but we’re not
dumb.”
