Among the developments: the BBC hits back, protesting soccer players are suspended, Amnesty calls Khamenei's blasting of peaceful protesters "a gross dereliction of duty and a license for abuse," and a commentator calls the speech "a five-star performance in the politics of denial...pious, defensive, blinkered...about real or imagined western "enemies" of the Islamic republic."
