In confirmation hearings before the Senate Armed Services
Committee Tuesday, Lt. Gen. Stanley McChrystal was less than reassuring on the outcome of the U.S. war in Afghanistan. McChrystal has already conceded that any progress made by the U.S. would be "hollow and unsustainable" if it continues to cause civilian deaths and widespread Afghan anger. He has also faced questions about his part in abuse and a Tillman cover-up. Have these people ever heard of a red flag?
