Gearing up – albeit in their usual inept, incomprehensible fashion – to fight the Sonia Sotomayor nomination, the GOP today inadvertently released their so-called talking points. So it was they spilled the beans on a riveting strategy. Not only do they again take righteous exception to the idea of "empathy," but they raise the alarming possibility of "further eroding the rights of the unborn," stripping 'under God' out of the Pledge of Allegiance, abolishing the death penalty, and – gasp – "protecting people who may be vulnerable in the political process." No wonder nobody likes them.

This is the world we live in. This is the world we cover.
