A day after Fear-Mongerers' Inc. zealously touted the NY Times story about 1 in 7 Guantanamo detainees "returning" to terrorism – a claim based on astonishingly flimsy evidence, buried deep in the story – its author has hedged on the claim. 

Said Elisabeth Bumiller, "There is some debate about
whether you should say 'returned' because some of them were perhaps not
engaged in terrorism, as we know – some of them are being held there
on vague charges."
