Even before yesterday's court ruling that the White House Office of Administration is not subject to the Freedom of Information
Act – and thus does not have to release documents about Bush-era e-mails gone missing – more than three dozen watchdog groups wrote the Obama administration urging them to reverse the secrecy stance. The groups range from the American Library Association to the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press.
