What Kind of Jewish State?

With Obama and Netanyahu meeting today, someone should send them the tragic, telling results of a new poll showing how profoundly alienated Arabs feel from their supposed home today, vs. in 2003. In the wake of Israel's turn to the right, only 41% recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state (it was 65.6) and over 40% deny the Holocaust happened.

"The Gaza operation may not have deterred Gazans from further violence," writes Bernard Avishai, "but it certainly deterred Israeli Arabs from imagining themselves real
citizens of Israel."
