Four top prizes in Britain's Sony Radio Academy
awards have gone to a prison radio station that broadcasts inmate-produced shows 24 hours a day, but only inside prison. Electric Radio Brixton is run by the Prison Radio Association.

"(It's) an example
of what can be achieved when radio is used for what it does best – an
intimate connection to deliver powerful, meaningful content," said the judges.
